LISA JAVIER GARDEN | Rare Anthurium and Philodendron | Part 2

A very rare and extremely beautiful heart-shaped Philodendron pastazanum . People often refer to it as “my Pasta” on Social Media. Originated from Ecuador from a state called Pastaza where it was collected during the 70’s. This phiodendron is a crawler meaning the main stem or rhizome is growing vertically and not horizontally. The petioles are growing vertically from the stem and carry the leaves. The rhizome should not be submerged and stay on the soil surface as this is where the leaves are emerging. Burying it may lead to rot and a decaying plant. This is one of the most common mistakes in Philodendron pastazanum care. Rhizomes of crawlers should not be buried in the soil. Are you looking for rare Philodendrons, Anthuriums and other indoor and outdoor house plants? At Lisa's Garden, there are a variety of rare plants that might interest you. They are located at the back of Garden II, Garden Center, Masiit, Calauan, Laguna.

Calauan (IPA: [kalawan]), officially the Municipality of Calauan (Tagalog: Bayan ng Calauan), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines. The municipality has a land area of 25.25 square miles which constitutes 3.41% of Laguna's total area. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 80,453 people.  Situated at 73 kilometres (45 mi) southeast of Manila, via Calamba and Los BaƱos. The town got its name from the term kalawang, which means rust. Folklore has it that the town got its name when the Spanish started construction of the Municipal Church and water seeped in from the holes dug into the ground for the Church's foundation. The water was colored brown and rusty in character hence the name Calauan (Kalawang). Calauan is known for the Pineapple Festival, which is celebrated every 15 May. The patron saint of Calauan is Isidore the Laborer, the patron of farmers, known in Spanish as San Isidro Labrador. Calauan's population is expected to rise, as the town is being used as resettlement of informal settlers in Metro Manila through the Bayan ni Juan and the Kapit-Bisig para sa Ilog Pasig project of the ABS-CBN Foundation. Popular destinations in the area include the Field of Faith situated in Barangay Lamot 2 and the Isdaan Floating Restaurant located along the National Highway going to Victoria Laguna.

LISA JAVIER GARDEN | Rare Philodendrons and House Plants | Garden Center...

Are you looking for rare Philodendrons, Anthuriums and other indoor and outdoor house plants? At Lisa's Garden, there are a variety of rare plants that might interest you. They are located at the back of Garden II, Garden Center, Masiit, Calauan, Laguna. Philodendrons can be grown outdoors in mild climates in shady spots. They thrive in moist soils with high organic matter. In milder climates, they can be grown in pots of soil or in the case of Philodendron oxycardium in containers of water. Indoor plants thrive at temperatures between 15 and 18 °C and can survive at lower light levels than other house plants. Although philodendrons can survive in dark places, they much prefer bright lights. Wiping the leaves off with water will remove any dust and insects. Plants in pots with good root systems will benefit from a weak fertilizer solution every other week. - Wikipedia Lisa Javier Garden Owner: https://www.facebook.com/milencia.javier.3
